Anxiety
I specialize in helping individuals overcome anxiety disorders. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)- which are the gold standard treatment for anxiety- to address symptoms such as excessive worry, panic attacks, and social anxiety. My approach is tailored to your unique needs, and I work collaboratively to help clients achieve their goals. I also equip clients with coping skills and tools to improve active distress and symptoms.
Depression
I have extensive experience working with individuals who are experiencing symptoms such as low mood, loss of interest, and feelings of hopelessness. Through warm and safe sessions, we will work together to express, understand, and process your emotions, making way for you to feel relief, lighter, and more like yourself. I also utilize mindfulness techniques to help clients manage symptoms and improve their quality of life.
Relationships & Couples Therapy
I understand that healthy relationships are essential to our well-being, therefore, I provide therapy for couples, families, and individuals seeking to improve communication, build trust, and deepen intimacy. My approach to couples therapy is based on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) while also drawing on concepts from the Gottman Method, that emphasizes developing friendship, managing conflict, and creating shared meaning.
Trauma
I have specialized in trauma therapy and I utilize evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Contextual Trauma Therapy (CTT) to help my clients overcome symptoms such as intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, hyper-vigilance, nightmares, and changes in mood. I understand that triggers can be debilitating for trauma survivors, therefore, I prioritize creating a safe and secure therapeutic space and support you through grounding techniques. Together we will progress through three main phases: safety stabilization, trauma processing and integration, and creating the life you desire. My style emphasizes safety, compassion, and empowerment.
Child & Adolescent Therapy
I provide therapy for kids and adolescents who are struggling with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems, ADHD, and behavioral issues. I incorporate evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to provide more immediate symptom relief, coping and problem-solving skills, as well as healthy behavioral habits. I also work collaboratively with parents and caregivers, in family therapy and/or parent training, to help you feel better equipped and able to manage and provide support for your kids.
Grief Counseling
I understand that grief is a deeply personal experience, shaped by our unique relationships, emotions, and memories, therefore, our work together is tailored to your unique needs. Grieving can feel isolating, but you don't have to navigate it alone. In grief counseling you will have a supportive environment where you can express and process your feelings in a way that feels right to you. We will also explore practical tools and strategies to manage the intensity of grief, helping you navigate daily life while honoring the healing process. My approach is grounded in a variety of modalities, including narrative therapy to find meaning and nurture a sense of continuity and connection with your loved one(s) and mindfulness practices to ground you in the present, help you manage overwhelming emotions and foster a sense of peace. My goal is to walk alongside you through your grief, providing support and guidance as you move toward a place of healing.
